Kesington Orbit Trackball
The Orbit is a trackball pointing device which focus its concept on the rolling "ball", placed in the center of the device, controlling cursor’s movement and direction. Trackballs do not move on the desk, as it is the case with ordinary mice, and remain still and stable on the desk, an ideal tool for confined workspaces. The objective of the Orbit is to concentrate all user's activity at the level of the controlling "ball". In this way, any adjustment movements that are necessary for the cursor’s control are minimized, focused and optimized. The hand does not have to be in motion all the time, reducing forearm’s and wrist’s tensions to the minimum.

Einzelheiten
There is not a specific way to handle the Orbit trackball. The user is totally free to use it in a position and way that best suits its needs. It has been designed to bring the precision, control and sensitivity of the pointer to the user’s fingertips. The right click and left click are also placed near the controlling "ball" in order to render their use more fluid and intuitive while minimizing the distances between them. The scroll wheel encircles the base of the rolling "ball" (which can be operated by turning it to the desired scroll direction) for quick and effortless use at any time.
The Orbit can be used by people who undertake precision tasks but also those who encounter hand’s sensitivities. In the latter situation, the Orbit can suit to anyone who is unable to place the hand in a vertical position but also those who encounter disabilities (lack of fingers - reduced mobility of the hand).
Totally ambidextrous, this mouse can also be seen as a tool helping to balance movements between the two hands and reduce in this way repetitive and monotonous movements, major source of Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI). Alternate the workload between the right and left hand, will provide an increase of fluidity of the movements while preventing the monopoly of the activity on a single part of the body. The Orbit mouse adapts to any hand morphology and allows to work with much more freedom compared to other mice, without movement restrictions.
